Princeton NJ is one of New Jersey’s most well-known and prestigious communities and home to the world-renowned Princeton University. Princeton is located in North Eastern Mercer County and is roughly equidistant from New York City and Philadelphia. It is close to many major highways that serve both cities (e.g. Interstate 95, Route 206, and U.S. Route1). It is also close to Trenton, New Jersey’s capital city, so close that the New Jersey governors’ official residence, Drumthwacket, is located just outside downtown Princeton. It is also connected by rail to both cities via the Princeton Branch rail line which connects to Princeton Junction Station on Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor. Princeton is a beautiful town with a rich history and culture and was ranked 15th of the top 100 towns in the United States to live and work in by Money Magazine in 2005. In addition to the Princeton University’s main campus, which has its historic center on Nassau Street, Princeton also has other historic landmarks with ties to the revolutionary war including Princeton Battlefield State Park and The Princeton Battle Monument. Princeton has a very strong jobs market with not only Princeton University, but many large companies as well, including Bristol-Myers Squibb, Educational Testing Services, and Tyco International. It also has a highly ranked school system for those looking to raise children.
